We run courses in a wide range of subjects, from general interest to one-day taster courses through to Advanced Level - depending upon demand. Most courses do not lead to accreditation, and the preparation of the coursework is the responsibility of the tutor. For all courses it is essential that all our tutors prepare and maintain good records of student progress. We are especially interested in applications from tutors who can teach in the day and some evenings. We are developing programmes of learning which mix home study and online learning with support workshops. We are seeking tutors who have innovative and creative approaches to teaching their subject specialism.

About Us

We offer qualifications in areas such as English, mathematics and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and a range of apprenticeships. We offer a wide range of non-accredited courses in creative studies, foreign languages, computing and health and fitness. Approximately 8,000 learners each year access our programmes in around 140 locations across the county including dedicated Adult Learning Centres, school premises, community centres and employer premises. Programmes are available daytime, evening and weekends for most of the year. There are courses for parents and carers with their children arranged by the Family Learning team.
