Graduate Project Officer
We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Project Officer to support the delivery of projects in Technology Services.
On 01 November 2018, it was announced by the government that the five councils in Buckinghamshire will become a single unitary authority in April 2020. Any changes made to the structure of local authorities in the county may affect council employees in the future. Therefore, the five councils have agreed to restrict applications to this position to current employees of the five councils for a period of 14 days from 12th July to 26th July. If no applications are received from suitable internal candidates during this period, the position will be re-advertised and external candidates will be welcome to submit their application for consideration.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to get experience of working in a busy environment and to work with Project Managers and Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to capture customer requirements, carry out project administration and support activities including production of performance data.
About the role
You will be responsible for: Providing support, information, advice and expertise across the Service on various projects. Managing elements of some projects as directed by the project manager.
Managing some smaller projects, under supervision Ensuring work is carried out to agreed timescales and budget.
The suitable candidate will be: Able to work to deadlines and be flexible in their approach to work. Organised and able to coordinate and work to deadlines set. Excellent with communication and presentation skills Educated to degree level or equivalent
Where our roles are customer-facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the role.
