  • Insight and Business Intelligence Lead

On 01 November 2018, it was announced by the government that the five councils in Buckinghamshire will become a single unitary authority in April 2020.  This is an exciting opportunity for all the councils in the county to come together to build a brand new council for Buckinghamshire, building on the best experience and expertise of the five current councils.  We are developing plans with our District Council colleagues to build a new Unitary Council that is ambitious in its outlook, provides Buckinghamshire residents with simpler ways to access services that they need, and makes best use of public money.  Any changes made to the structure of local authorities in the county may affect council employees in the future.  Therefore, the five councils have agreed to restrict applications to this position to current employees of the five councils for a period of 14 days from 12th September to 26th September.  External candidates are welcome to submit their application at any point; however, if a current employee applies during this 14 day period, their application will be assessed prior to the council considering applications from external candidates.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a Business Objects reporting and insight specialist to lead and manage the development of a new suite of business intelligence products to inform the management of Adult Social Care services, as the Council introduces a new case management system for Social Care clients (the Councils iCares programme).

The new system is being introduced through the Councils iCares programme of work and includes changes to how the Council records cost related information for clients alongside the new case management and reporting systems.  The successful candidate will manage the delivery of business intelligence products for Adult Social Care as well as Business Objects related reports for finance teams across Children’s and Adults Social Care.

You’ll come to us with outstanding technical expertise in the design, development and maintenance of business intelligence products. The SAP Business Object platform is our toolset of choice and you will have a proven track record of utilising these tools to an advanced level developing business intelligence products for Social Care and Finance functions.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Social Care functions, Finance and the iCares programme, you will ensure that the new business intelligence products are fit for purpose, and delivered to the required quality standards and timescales.
