A Safeguarding Adults Practitioner is required to provide coordination and take a lead role in safeguarding adults in the multi agency safeguarding hub (MASH).
The mash is a dynamic multi agency environment which the safeguarding adults team sits within. Based at the police station alongside police/ children’s safeguarding/ education and substance misuse professionals. The safeguarding adults team will consider concerns from the community and professionals and aim to support vulnerable individuals by undertaking s.42 safeguarding enquiries in order to prevent/ reduce/ remove risk of harm. The team work together as a supportive network and no decision is made in isolation, there is a wealth or knowledgeable professionals to provide guidance and assistance.
The Safeguarding adults team will coordinate enquiries through collaboration with other professionals and organisations. The service user remains at the heart of our work, using a strengths based approach and following the principles of safeguarding.
