About the role

To provide personal and practical short term support to people in their own homes to help them maximise their independence at home and in the community.

To work with clients’ families and/or carers and others so that clients’ independence can be maintained and improved.

To work with clients in an enabling way to encourage and support them with personal care and all day-to-day activities working towards agreed goals within support plans.

To review, monitor and report on clients’ progress against goals.

To work in a way that respects clients’ dignity and confidentiality and to take responsibility for raising any concerns about quality and safety in a swift and appropriate way.

To take responsibility for learning and applying learning in relation to good practice.

About you

The successful candidates will be helpful, co-operative and positive in everything do.

You will have the motivation and willingness to provide practical and hands-on support for people in a dignified, caring and respectful way with the goal of improving their lives.

With clear and effective communication skills with the ability to listen, influence and encourage giving and receiving feedback constructively.

You will have the ability to solve problems and use initiative in a safe way to influence positive outcomes for clients and to work independently in the community and take responsibility where appropriate.

These positions will be to cover areas south of the county such as Amersham, High Wycombe and Slough.

Other Information

We recognise that learning is an important part of this role and you will have the opportunity to complete the Care Certificate with a combination of face to face and E- learning.

Course mandatory for all new staff include; 

  • Introduction to Health and Safety
