Sessional Tutor/Assessor - Early Years Apprenticeships - £24.51 per hour
We deliver a range of apprenticeship courses in the Buckinghamshire area. We are seeking work based tutors to support local people, in particular young adult apprentices, to gain qualifications and apprenticeship frameworks. We provide a work based learning model offering blended learning through our e-learning system and regular visits with apprentices which involves teaching, learning and assessment of underpinning knowledge and practice activities. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Tutor/Assessors who are committed to the development of young people.
Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is part of the Learning, Skills and Prevention Service, whose mission is:
to provide inclusive learning opportunities that will promote well-being and inspire people living or working in Buckinghamshire to achieve their potential.
We are the main provider of part-time learning opportunities for adults in the county. The Service offers an advertised programme of taught courses and workshops from Entry Level to Level 4. We offer qualifications in areas such as English, mathematics and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), child care (CACHE), accounting (AAT) and a range of apprenticeships. We offer a wide range of non-accredited courses in creative studies, foreign languages, computing and health and fitness.
Approximately 9,000 learners each year access our programmes in around 140 locations across the county including dedicated Adult Learning Centres, school premises, community centres and employer premises. Programmes are available daytime, evening and weekends for most of the year. There are courses for parents and carers with their children arranged by the Family Learning team. We work with employers, both large and small, delivering Skills for Life, and Apprenticeships up to Level 5.

We are looking for a Sessional Tutor/Assessor to deliver training and assess learners in the workplace on the Early Years apprenticeships framework/new standard.

•To be passionate about promoting lifelong learning and be able to demonstrate this
•Possess up to date knowledge and competence in the areas listed above
•To be able to plan, deliver and assess ensuring that the needs of all abilities of learners are catered for and to encourage a positive learning experience
•To effectively communicate, liaise and work with colleagues to plan, coordinate and deliver quality outcomes
