Buckinghamshire County Council is the Accountable Body for England’s Economic Heartland – funding for which is a combination of contributions from the local partners and Government (via the Department for Transport).

About the role

Now is an exciting time to join England’s Economic Heartland and help realise the region’s potential, with our Transport Strategy due to be published later this year, work progressing towards becoming a Sub-national Transport Body and major infrastructure projects such as East West Rail receiving strong support from Government.

The role is required to identify the need for, commission and deliver pieces of work in support of the Communications Plan. This will include content creation; managing website and social media accounts; producing a regular e-newsletter; supporting the Alliance’s conference presence; and overseeing stakeholder engagement work.

As Communications Executive the role is accountable for ensuring that identified projects are managed and delivered within budget.

The Communications Executive is required to work collaboratively with partner organisations, as well as external partners across the England’s Economic Heartland area. The role also requires regular engagement and collaboration with Government departments, national infrastructure agencies/companies and service providers.

As Communications Executive the role is responsible for preparing the communications plan that supports the Strategic Alliance activities and for implementing that plan by taking responsibility for delivering specific projects and/or campaigns.
