The opportunity

To work closely with the Central Access Team, Senior Duty Occupational Therapist and other professional staff, processing all referrals to the Bucks Community Occupational Therapy Service.

About the role

  • To provide all central occupational therapy services that do not require a face to face contact by area team staff
  • To support members of the professional support team, Senior Social Worker and generic support staff
  • To support members of the Central Access Team, who take central occupational therapy telephone referrals.
  • To contact clients, carers, other agencies to gather additional information to allow an informed decision on referral outcome
  • To attend regular supervision sessions, as agreed with Senior Duty OT
  • To work with Business Managers to develop the links between area teams and the Central Access Team

About you

  • Confident car driver essential and access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of OT practice, best practice frameworks and guidance, relevant legislation
  • Minimum of a 2:1 BSC degree in Occupational Therapy or COT Diploma qualification
