We are seeking to appoint a proactive, enthusiastic, confident Full-time Grounds Assistant to work in this inspiring school.

Salary: £17,000 - £20,000 depending on experience and qualifications

About us

Swanbourne House is a friendly, family orientated preparatory school with strong boarding, positioned in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. Children aged 3 to 13 come to us from the surrounding area and some from further afield.

Swanbourne House is situated in the Countryside of North Buckinghamshire and sits within 55 acres of grounds.  The School provides first class facilities for the pupil’s education including sports pitches, astro turf pitches, golf course, wildlife habitat, ponds, woodland, gardens and play areas.


About the role

The right candidate will be looking for a challenge within a rewarding environment and will work under the direction of the Head of Grounds within our small, friendly Grounds Maintenance Team to provide high standard grounds care.

The role requires independent as well as team working in order to maintain sports pitches, gardens and grounds in an excellent and safe condition, while also maintaining the equipment necessary to deliver these services.

There will be routine responsibility for the daily delivery of widespread grounds care and maintenance across the site and in the associated day nurseries.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working outside and will have the desire to develop a career in this area.

Experience in this field or similar is desirable, but not essential as full and on-going training will be given.
