Salary: Bucks Pay Range 4. £23,276 - £25,199 pro rata. Actual Salary £17,339 to £18,772
Stony Dean School is a heavily oversubscribed secondary special school situated in Amersham in Buckinghamshire. We are very proud of the fact that we were the first school in this county to gain specialist SEN College status and our designation is for Communication and Interaction. About the role
Stony Dean School is working closely with De Vere Latimer House Hotel, Buckinghamshire Adult Learning and Buckinghamshire County Council to support learners to prepare for the world of work.
Pathway to employment is an exciting and innovate programme designed for the right candidate who has a range of skills that are suitable for working in a school as well as a business. The Job Coach will support learners in a business environment using specialist teaching strategies to make the world of work accessible. The role will involve working with employers, the work placement, parents and adults with specific learning difficulties to develop an in-house programme. This programme is designed to bridge the gap between school and successful long term employment.
This successful candidate will need to be confident, adaptable, have good observational skills, and most importantly be able to talk to professionals in the world of work. The Job Coach will have experience of working with students with learning difficulties, disabilities and complex needs. We are looking for a driven and motivated individual to support young adults to achieve their full potential and who would like to be part of a growing programme. We are looking for a person that has experience of working in one of following environments: working in a special school, or education setting and or hospitality and catering. You should be dynamic and flexible, with high standards of literacy, numeracy and IT literate. You will be committed to working with young adults who have learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities.
