The opportunity

We are currently recruiting for people that have a love for food and an aptitude for working with children to help deliver our after school programme in the Bucks area.

We are currently recruiting for two roles:

1 Part-time after-school cookery teachers

2 Part-time after-school cookery club assistants

Monday – Friday Afternoons

17.5 hours per week (cookery teacher) / 10 hours per week (cookery club assistants)

36 weeks per year (can vary dependant on schools allocated)

Salary: £10 per hour (cookery teacher) / £7.50 per hour (cookery club assistants)

About us

We teach children between 5-16 years how to cook healthy, nutritious food from scratch. Through practical, hands-on cookery classes our students gain valuable life skills and a keen interest in the food they eat.

About the role

Cookery Teacher: We’re looking for enthusiastic people who love to cook and who are up for a challenge to join our fantastic team of teachers. 

The role involves running our after-school cookery clubs in schools 5 afternoons a week during term time.

Cookery Club Assistants: We’re looking for enthusiastic people who have an interest in food and childcare to assist our team of teachers in delivering our after-school cookery clubs.

The role involves assisting the cookery teacher at our cookery clubs in schools 5 afternoons a week during term time.

You will be provided with all necessary training and have the potential to progress to a cookery teacher role, leading and delivering your own practical classes.

About you

Cookery Teacher: The job would suit someone with experience in food and a skill in leading groups of children.  No formal qualifications are needed although experience in both catering and teaching would be advantageous.

You will be provided with recipes and detailed lesson plans in advance each term to help you deliver interesting and organised practical classes.

A basic food hygiene test as well as other training for the position will be provided.

Driving license required.

Cookery Club Assistants: No formal qualifications are needed although experience in food preparation or childcare would be advantageous.

A basic food hygiene test as well as other training for the position will be provided.

Driving license required.
