The opportunity

In this role, you’ll act as the lead financial adviser and commissioner of financial support services for our Children’s Services Business Unit, providing professional financial support, advice and guidance to Members, the Executive Director and other Senior Officers of the Business Unit.

About you

You’ll have substantial experience of delivering financial services which support complex service delivery, together with extensive knowledge of local government strong governance processes and procedures. You’ll have an excellent understanding of emerging issues and the ability to contribute to the debate on such matters, together with a proven track record of managing significant budgets effectively.

An effective communicator with well-developed interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills to build relationships and influence the stakeholder community, you’ll have first rate project management skills together with the ability to manage resources to ensure that outcomes are delivered to the required quality within agreed timescales.
