We are recruiting for a payroll officer

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity where you’ll have exposure to a high volume of payroll activities. You will be responsible to ensure that all County Council employees and other specific payrolls that we manage are processed. You will deal with all queries in a timely manner, liaise with Management regarding any issues and support the smooth running of the department and payroll function.

About you

The public sector is evolving fast and we need a payroll officer who is flexible, versatile and an innovative thinker, you’ll embrace new ways of working and challenge tradition and routine. This position requires you to be experienced in a high volume payroll environment with the ability of using SAP, to process multiple payrolls. 
This is a fast paced and challenging role therefore you must be able to work confidently, efficiently and to strict deadlines.

Other Information

Where our roles are customer-facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the role.
