About the role
First Step is a friendly supportive team within a well-established local authority.
You’ll join a busy, fast-paced job assessing foster carers and connected people, using and developing advanced analytic skills within your role.
You will be working within a team whose paramount objective is always each child's wellbeing and safety. This will be a challenging but satisfying role.

We know your skills are highly sought after so we’re offering a 6% market factor salary enhancement if you choose Bucks. You will also receive a Golden Hello payment of £2,125 upon your one year work anniversary; car allowances of £600 per annum (paid monthly), and a Relocation Allowance up to £8,000 (if applicable)*. To make a great Social Worker, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge with you and be confident in undertaking the role. In this busy, fast paced team, you’ll get on best if you are flexible and able to work well under pressure. You will work closely with colleagues from various teams and build positive links between your team and other parts of the service to ensure effective multi-professional working. You will hold a degree in social work (DipSW) and registered with the HCPC.
You will have extensive knowledge of the service area, partner relationships and wider sector/external influences.
