We are looking for an ALDD Co-ordinator to join us on a part-time (30 hours per week) basis.
Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is part of the Learning, Skills and Prevention Service, whose mission is:
to provide inclusive learning opportunities that promote well-being and inspire people living or working in Buckinghamshire to achieve their potential.
We are the main provider of part-time learning opportunities for adults in the county. The Service offers an advertised programme of taught courses and workshops from Entry Level. We offer qualifications in areas such as English, mathematics and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), a range of apprenticeships and the City and Guilds Award in Education and Training for those who wish to embark on teaching/ training adults. We offer a wide range of non-accredited courses in creative studies, foreign languages, computing and health and fitness.
Approximately 8,000 learners each year access our programmes in around 140 locations across the county including dedicated Adult Learning Centres, school premises, community centres and employer premises. Programmes are available daytime, evening and weekends for most of the year. There are courses for parents and carers with their children arranged by the Family Learning team. We work with employers, both large and small, delivering apprenticeships up to Level 5.
Our broad learning programme offers courses throughout Buckinghamshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities to develop independent living and work skills in a collaborative and creative environment.
About the role
You will be responsible for developing and planning the delivery of accredited class-room based ALDD courses.
In additon will take line management responsibility for the tutors delivering in this area and ensure that the delivery meets the service targets and to the required standard for OFSTED and awarding bodies
You should have substantial experience of delivering adult learning and understanding the requirements of the relevant awarding organisation You should also have specialist knowledge of the ALDD sector.
You should have Cert Ed/DTLLS or equivalent or working towards this qualification within agreed timeframe from start of contract.
