Our Care Services team is seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join them in an exciting After Care role.

Please note: This role will require extensive relevant experience and a degree in social work (DipSW), along with HCPC registration.

About the role

This post is to assist the Team Manager in prioritising assessment and planning for the full range of services we provide for young people entitled to an Aftercare Service.

You’ll supervise staff and ensure consistent and comprehensive service delivery by the team.

Acting as a resource in working with complex cases, you’ll provide guidance and support, as  well as overseeing aspects of the team function, such as the duty system or providing lead responsibility in particular areas.

This role will be supported with a clear career path, providing you with the experience to advance through to Team Manager positions.

About you

You’ll hold a degree in social work (DipSW) and be registered with the HCPC.

You’ll also bring significant demonstrable experience in Social Work, with exposure to Aftercare services.

Mentoring and colleague training and development will be in evidence, and you’ll have the confidence to take a lead function as required, as well as provide a second opinion to the Team Manager on occasion.
