Transport, Economy, Environment are recruiting for a PMO Manager to lead a highly effective Project Management Office.

About the role

In this brand new role you’ll define, develop, plan and manage the creation and delivery of a highly proficient Project Management Office (PMO) service for Transport, Economy, Environment (TEE) from an existing PMO charter. You will be responsible for ensuring that the new and existing projects, programmes and portfolios are initiated and delivered in an appropriate and cost efficient manner.


You’ll select, develop and assess the suitability of ways of working with key customers and stakeholders in TEE, to meet outcomes expected from a successful PMO, as well as develop, implement and continuously review the PMO Charter.

Leading on the development of project practices, governance, reporting and standards, you’ll ensure that PMO processes and procedures are defined, developed and implemented effectively.

About you

An experienced PMO manager with a detailed understanding of project management standards, principles and methodologies, you’ll have an excellent understanding of emerging developments within the PMO and project areas.


You’ll have a strong track record of ensuring the development and delivery of continuous improvement and transformation, experience of co-ordinating project resources, as well as establishing and leading a PMO, and managing it against a strategy or charter.

Experience of using Project Management systems such as (but not limited to) PRINCE2 is essential to this role.
