Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced qualified Social Worker to take the next step in their professional career with a well-established local authority. The role will involve joining a busy, fast paced team whose paramount objective is always a child's wellbeing and safety. The role will be based in our Aylesbury Office.

About us

Contact and MASH will process all referrals in respect of Children 0- 17 years of age (up to 18th birthday) made by any child/young person, family member, members of the public or professional. All referrals received by this team will be screened by a Team Manager who will, based on the Threshold Criteria Document, determine whether a referral needs to be progressed to a Children's Social Care Assessment Team for an assessment, or if the referral needs to be passed to an Early Help Panel for consideration of a coordinated Multi Agency approach for support.

About the role

You will respond to queries and referrals from a number of different sources and make contact with families and partner agencies. You will work closely with the Assessment Teams in ensuring children and families are effectively transferred with appropriate risk assessments, priority status and initial recommendations. We would also require our social workers within this team to provide day to day support and coaching to our Contact and Referral Officers who also work within the team.

About you

You will be a Qualified Social Worker (DipSW or equivalent) with at least two years post qualifying experience. Experience of working within a MASH/Referral/Assessment environment would be desirable but not essential. You will have regular quality one to one supervision sessions and group supervisions were complex cases are discussed.
