Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Team Manager to take the next step in their professional career with a well established local authority. The role will involve joining a busy, fast paced team whose paramount objective is always a child's wellbeing and safety.

About us

First Response works with short term child in need cases, child protection cases up to the initial child protection conference and Looked After Children up to the 72 hour placement meeting. 

About the role

You will assist the Team Manager to manage and supervise a team of multi-disciplinary staff including qualified, experienced Social Workers.

You will support the Team Manager in ensuring all referrals are appropriately assessed, reviewed and acted upon within 3 days.

 

About you

Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in social work (DipSW) and be registered with the HCPC.

You will have extensive knowledge of the service area, partner relationships and wider sector/external influences.

You will also have substantive relevant experience backed by evidence of appropriate professional expertise.

Other Information

To recognise the high demand for your skills the salary we currently offer includes a 6% market factor enhancement.  Additionally, you will receive a Golden Hello payment of £2125 upon the successful completion of your probationary period, a crucial to post car allowance of £300 per annum paid monthly, a safe haven car allowance of £300 per annum paid monthly, and a Relocation Allowance (if applicable) up to £8K.
