Adult Learning Assistant (Part-time), Millbrook Adult Learning Centre
An opportunity has arisen to appoint a part time Assistant working a combination of part-time and term-time only to support the Adult Learning activities at the Millbrook Centre.
The main focus of this centre is providing Basic Skills and ESOL courses where we cater for a large number of students each week.
About the role
We are looking for someone who recognises the importance of excellent customer service, the ability to work independently and provide effective administrative support.
The hours of work are:
Tuesday 10.00 am – 4.00 pm 52 weeks per annum
Wednesday 10.00 am – 2.00 pm 52 weeks per annum
Wednesday 6.45 pm – 9.45 pm 39 weeks per annum
Thursday 10.00 am – 4.00 pm 52 weeks per annum
Working as part of the Adult Learning Operations team, you will deliver a high level of information and advice to new and existing students. In addition you will provide a full frontline service and be the welcoming face of Buckinghamshire Adult Learning.
Previous experience of working in a customer care environment is essential. In addition you should demonstrate excellent organisational and IT skills, with a flexible approach to your work. Duties will include dealing with student enquiries, enrolments, course administration and liaising with tutors, and centre staff. Some cash handling will also be required. A knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential and you should be educated to a minimum of GCSE/NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. Training on our IT based management system will be given.
