Team Manager - Youth Offending Service
We are looking for a Team Manager to join our successful and innovative Youth Offending Service in Buckinghamshire.
Buckinghamshire Youth Offending Service (YOS) is a multi-agency partnership working to reduce offending and reoffending by young people in Buckinghamshire, in addition to providing services for parents/carers and victims. Buckinghamshire YOS is fully committed to developing effective practice in partnership with Children’s Services, Health, Police, Probation and various voluntary agencies.
About the role
Working alongside another Team Manager you will manage a team comprising YOS Officers and other specialist workers.
You will allocate cases within the team, ensuring a balance of workload, risk levels and managing staff capacity.
Through chairing the Risk Management Panel you will hold decision making responsibility in relation to the effective management of high risk complex cases.
You will also be responsible for developing YOS guidance and procedures and ensuring that these are effectively implemented within the Service.
You should be educated to degree standard or equivalent or hold a relevant professional qualification.
You should have significant experience of working within the criminal justice context and a detailed knowledge of criminal justice legislation, policy and guidance, related to youth justice.
