Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are looking for a Managing Director – Buckinghamshire Integrated Care System who is commercially astute and credible professional; someone who is ready to lead by example in transforming the Buckinghamshire health and care system.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is an integral member of the Buckinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS) providing both acute and community services, This status was announced in July 2017 and places the Buckinghamshire ICS in the forefront working with NHS England to help lead the way in developing ICS systems and new models of care.
We have been ranked as one of the UK's top hospitals by health intelligence specialists CHKS. This award is based on the evaluation of over 20 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
Our Stroke Unit has maintained the ‘A grade’ in the latest Royal College of Physicians’ Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP) audit.
As an integrated Trust we provide acute, community and palliative care. We do this from our patients homes, from one of our five community hospitals, and from two acute hospitals at Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe
About the role
Working closely with the Chief Executives and System Clinical Leaders, this role focuses on building strong relationships through excellent engagement and involvement of the stakeholder population in the system.
The Managing Director is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining an effective way of working and collaborating across partners to ensure that the Buckinghamshire ICS strategy is delivered and remains relevant at local level and is shaped by and responsive to stakeholders.
Alongside the System Clinical Leaders, the Managing Director has accountability to ensure that all parts of the primary, community, secondary and social care system is working together to develop and deliver Buckinghamshire ICS 10 year strategy, including the drive for new models of care encompassing primary care networks.
As the ICS matures the Managing Director will play a pivotal role in sustaining and supporting its evolution into a mature model that delivers first class integrated system health and care outcomes for its residents.
