Overview

The award winning Adult Community Occupational Therapy Team is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated, skilled and committed occupational therapists to join their forward-thinking and dynamic service; a service which has undergone significant transformation to move away from the more traditional models of OT service delivery, assessment and intervention to embrace a culture of innovation and positive risk-taking.  This is an opportunity to gain experience and contribute to a wide range of service areas including OT triage, OT clinics, equipment and housing adaptations, moving and handling and rehousing.

About the role

  • To be part of a responsive countywide OT service and to undertake and provide OT assessment and interventions over the phone and face to face. 
  • To encourage and be supported to problem-solve, take positive risks and share creative solutions.
  • To contribute to staff, team and service development.
  • To be a positive advocate for OT and continue to raise the profile of OT, internally, externally and in the wider community.
  • To support the transformation and integration agenda within Adult Social Care.
  • To attend and engage in regular supervision, training and continual professional development.

About you

  • Confident car driver essential and access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of OT practice, best practice frameworks and guidance, relevant legislation
  • Minimum of a 2:1 BSC degree in Occupational Therapy or COT Diploma qualification
