    Alfriston is an outstanding Special School with Sports College status for girls aged 11-19 with moderate learning difficulties and speech and language and communication difficulties. We currently have 150 girls on roll. Pupils attend Alfriston from all over Buckinghamshire and some neighbouring counties.

    The swimming pool was opened in September 2014. Since then the school have established a lettings programme to parent and pre-school children during the school day and at weekends during term time. Also, from Tuesdays to Saturdays the Pool Manager operates a swim school for all ages, adult swim sessions, and hire out other areas of the school as required with the assistance of a small team of qualified swimming teachers and lifeguards. The majority of the programme takes place during term time with the addition of crash courses and hosting training sessions during the school holidays. The activities are operated through a trading subsidiary of the school, to make the facilities available to the local community and raise sufficient funds to cover the running costs of the pool.

    We are looking for a Pool and Lettings Supervisor to assist the pool manager in managing and taking responsibility for the running of the swimming pool and all school lettings.
